This page lists a few tips on getting around, to, and from Johns Hopkins.
TransportationParkingGrad students get free parking in any garage on the JHMI campus after 430p. There's also a free satellite parking lot. If you want parking in a garage (and there's probably space in the Kennedy Krieger Garage, which is across the street from Traylor and near Broadway Research Building), then ask to be put on the GSA subsidized parking list and pay $50/month. Other parking rates are available on Homewood campus. If you TA, then you get a free parking pass in the South Garage (the new Mason Hall building underground garage). Ask Gayle in the Clark Hall BME Office about those parking passes. The ShuttleThere's also a free Hopkins Shuttle that travels between the Homewood and and JHMI campuses. During rush hours, the shuttle arrives every fifteen minutes.Getting to HopkinsJHU has a website with lots of directions, whether you're trying to go to the Homewood campus, the med campus, Bayview, or the Applied Physics Lab.FoodNear Homewood, there are plenty of restaurants on St. Paul Street (Chipotle's, Sam's Bagels, etc), and some dining halls on campus (Levering Hall has a cafeteria and a coffeeshop). At JHMI, there are plenty of food carts. The Main Hospital Building and the Outpatient Center (JHOC) have a cafeteria, along with Flamers, Subway, Roman Pizza, and Einstein's Bagels. You can also eat at Burger King, ABC Sushi, Taste of China, Hot Mustard, or plenty of booths at The Market. You can find more places on the Useful Places or Maps pages.
