Registration

Registering for classes:
  • Our course administrator, Hong Lan, will usually send out an email a few weeks before the registration deadline. All of the envelopes with registration packets are sent to her. You'll need to go to her office, look over the green sheet to update any information (home address, work address, etc), and sign it.
  • You can also pick up a form from the Registrar's Office in Broadway Research Building. (Sometimes, if they're not mailed to Hong, then they'll be mailed to your lab address.)
  • Select your courses by looking through the medical courses list (also available at BRB or in the mailing) and/or through the Homewood Registrar's website.
  • To add a class on the Homewood campus, you'll need to fill out the "cross-registration" form, and list the classes and class names there. Hong will take care of the signatures. The Homewood Course Schedule only shows classes that will be offered for the closest upcoming semester. Classes will often be added after the registration deadline, so be sure to check the website again a week or so before the school year begins.
  • Courses on the med campus usually begin during the last week in August (the week directly after Orientation). They're taught in large blocks -- for example, you'll have two weeks of genetics, take your final, and then never be tested on it again, and follow with two weeks of immunology, etc.
