Indie 9:30 Club 815 V. Street NW, Washington, DC 20001 Great Venue, somewhat small so you can really see/hear the band. It does get pretty crowded for a lot of the shows. Most of the biggest names come here http://www.930.com
Indie El Rancho Grande 3608 Falls Rd., Baltimore, MD 21211 Small coffee shop where I've seen some amazing performances. Couches and chairs for sitting. I think they have wireless too. They only ask for donation for the performances so it's basically free shows. Check it out. http://www.myspace.com/itsabigranch
Indie Ottobar N. Howard, Baltimore, MD Intimate setting, a dive concert venue that is really cool. Free wifi upstairs. Hipster. http://theottobar.com
Indie, Club Sonar 407 E. Saratoga Street, Baltimore MD 21202 Great venue - one of the best in Baltimore. I've seen some fantastic shows here. The sound system is incredible http://www.sonarbaltimore.com/
