The BME PhD Council is the governing body for the PhD students in the department of biomedical engineering at Johns Hopkins University. The primary organizational duties of the PhD Council include planning the BME Retreat during the Fall Semester, and running Recruitment Weekend in the Spring. Several of the committees, responsibilities, and officers are listed below.
We also organize a "FSSHH" -- the Friday Student Seminar and Happy Hour. Various PhD students are asked to give thirty-minute talks about their research. For details on previous happy hours, please see The FSSHH Blog. To see a list of PhD Council events for 2009 - 2010, please see the Proposed Events page. If you have any questions, feel free to email bme.jhu@gmail.com
