Everyone must go through this process for events that are part of the student budget.
|
1. Reimbursement Form
Save all of your receipts. Remember that the University is tax-exempt and doesn't reimburse for tax. Be sure to get a tax exemption form so that you don't have to pay sales tax yourself. Fill out the expense report form (available here (.xls) or on the downloads page) and attach your receipts. When filling out the form, remember to detail who (type of students (ie. 1st years, softball team, etc) and number of students) attended the event. |
2. Finance Committee Approval
ALL events that are part of the PhD Student Budget (sports teams, dinners, Happy Hours, etc) need to have signature approval from the finance committee for reimbursement. After you've collected your receipts and have completed the form, go to either Troy Anderson (Homewood) or Eric Tuday (JHMI) for a signature. It is their job to keep track of all our expenses and make sure we're within our budget.
|
3. Submit
Submit your receipts with the proper signature to either Hong Lan, Judy Evans, or Allen Strong. For expenses under $100, you can go through "petty cash" on the Homewood campus, though that may be ending.
