The BME PhD Council exists to:
1) provide reports from the BME Committee and Primary Faculty Meeting student representatives,
2) give the collective doctoral student body a unified voice in departmental affairs, and
3) generate a closer sense of community among the PhD students. The Council organizes regular events for PhD students and faculty, such as sports tournaments, hiking and sailing outings, departmental picnics, the Fall PhD Retreat, and summer student seminars.

Ashley and Kelvin will be taking over as PhD Council president starting Jan 1st, 2007. Congrats! We are sure that you guys will do a wonderful job.
